Minnesota Association for Guardianship & Conservatorship (MAGiC)

MAGiC is a nonprofit organization that supports and elevates guardians and conservators through education, community, and professional standards. We provide trusted resources, advocate for thoughtful legislation, and promote less restrictive alternatives to ensure every person is treated with dignity.

Our 150+ members—spanning Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin—include guardians, conservators, attorneys, social workers, care providers, and court personnel. Together, we are advancing the field with compassion, integrity, and a shared commitment to person-centered practices.

MAGiC is an affiliate of the National Guardianship Association.

We believe guardianship and conservatorship should be recognized not just as a role, but as a calling—one rooted in advocacy, dignity, and deep compassion. Every person deserves care that respects their rights, honors their autonomy, and supports their well-being. That’s why we are committed to raising the bar through education, collaboration, and meaningful reform. Together, we are working toward a future where guardianship is guided by empathy, high standards, and person-centered practices—always with the goal of supporting people in the least restrictive way possible.
